CNC Operator 2nd shift


Summary:
Set up and operate numerically controlled routing machine to cut, shape, and machine plastic workpieces to customer specifications.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
1.Review process sheet and specifications to determine setup procedure, machine sequence, and dimensions of finished workpieces.
2.Conduct all numerical control routing operations to setup, start, observe, control, and maintain machines to product required quantities of quality parts.
3.Make appropriate machine adjustments by selecting appropriate cutting tools, changing tools, and selecting attachments to comply with operating instructions.
4.Maintain knowledge of control panel to run programs, initiate emergency stops and operate control switches.
5.Compare numerical data displays with specifications on operation sheets and verify machining operations to ensure the production of quality product.
6.Verify new programs by starting machine and observing operation t detect errors and malfunctions, machine sample workpieces, and inspect each cut to ensure product quality.
7.Initiate and complete necessary paperwork such as a daily production report, scrap and reject report, sheet requirements, and part program data sheet to comply wit inventory and schedule requirements.
8.Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment to assist in maintaining continuous and functional equipment operation.
9.Other duties as assigned.
Reporting Relationships:
This position reports to the Production Supervisor

Education and
Experience:
High school or equivalent and a minimum of two years related production experience. The ability to read and understand blueprints, as well as good math skills are required.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, process work sheets and customer specifications. Ability to effectively communicate with other employees.
Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment:
The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment required hearing protection to be worn at all times.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
