Position Description:
This Machinist position is based in Kalamazoo, MI.
This is a B Shift Puma.
Accountabilities:
The CNC Mill machinist will provide multi-axis, multi-tasking machining that includes milling and turning. Prior CNC mill experience is required; lathe experience is preferred. Mazak control language experience is preferred but candidates who offer Okuma or Fanuc will be considered based on their experience.
Position Requirements:
3-5 years of relevant experience, or 2 years plus technical school/Associates degree
Minimum Education: HS or GED
Experience operating a CNC Mill is required
Previous experience in gauge training, geometric tolerancing, and blue print reading is required
Experience with lathes, preferred
Prior machining center, multi-axis machining is an advantage
Good communication/interpersonal skills
Excellent attendance record is required
Must be self-motivated with willingness to learn and demonstrate strong, ethical work ethics
Ability to operate and maneuver around machinery safely to protect yourself and coworkers is required
Certified self-inspector is an advantage
Overall rating of Meets Expectations, or above, on year-to-date performance rating
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.; lifting devices/aids will be provided for heavier objects.
