EPIC, PyxisAbout the UnitNVU is a 40 bed medical surgical unit specializing in the care of patients with neurological disorders such as Stroke, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis and other inflammatory disorders of the brain and spinal cordWe have a large spinal surgery population, which includes care for the post-operative neuro-surgery, ortho-surgery, Laminectomy and Spinal Fusion patientsOur unit also includes six step-down/telemetry beds and six bariatric beds allowing us to provide care to a diverse patients populationLast but not least, there is a four bed Neuro Monitoring Unit where we admit seizure patients starting at age 5 in an effort to find the cause of their seizures.Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline):
