Lab Assistant - Part Time

We are currently looking to add a Part Time Lab Assistant to our team in Kalamazoo.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the laboratory by performing duties such as light housekeeping, autoclave waste and cleaning laboratory surfaces.
What can I expect in this role? In this position, you will work 20 hours per week (daytime hours between 8-5 pm)Some key duties in this role include:
Supports basic microbiology techniques including microbial culture, enumeration, isolation, and identification using traditional and rapid methods.
Follows applicable SOPs/guideline.
Performs lab support duties including but not limited to dishwashing, autoclaving waste and cleaning laboratory surfaces.

2 year degree related to biology preferred but not required.
