Job Description/Information:
Basic Function
Plans, directs and coordinates the marketing of a specific product line and ensures that assigned product/products are marketed in accordance with budgeted objectives and with respect to market maturity to obtain maximum profitability and volume in relation to pre-set standards.
Responsibilities
Analyze future market conditions to anticipate articulated and articulated customer needs
Work closely with product development teams that include Engineering, Sales, HCP, and Marketing
Create strategic 5
year roadmap for assigned Portfolio group
Manage and provide guidance for Portfolio roadmap and PLCM
Originates new uses and markets for products and recommends distribution channels
Analyzes competitive position of company products and recommends or supervises product styling,
quality changes, inventory allocation, and price structures
Analyzes and appraises the effectiveness of sales methods, costs, and results
Supervises or cooperates in market research programs
Recommends participation in industrial, scientific and other types of exhibitions and may
develop direct mail campaigns and programs
Participate in or advise on label, package and product design, from a sales promotional standpoint
Prepare or cooperate in the preparation of sales forecasts and in development of projected selling
expense budgets
Will participate in the sales and/or marketing training
Manages and/or facilitates functional input in the new product development process for
assigned products
Submits periodic reports on areas of responsibility
Provides sales force with competitive and technical information on a timely basis
May direct the activities of 1 or more subordinate marketing employee
