Job Description/Information:
Serves as a member of the Instruments Senior Management
team with oversight and responsibility for the development and implementation
of an effective compliance program through all business units within the
division. These responsibilities may
encompass a broad range areas related to Compliance to include, but not be limited to: the application of laws and guidance to many unique business
activities; development and implementation of corporate and regional policies and/or procedures. Serves as a divisional
and group advisor, regularly partnering and collaborating with other
functional areas throughout the business May support the broader Global
Compliance Function as a subject matter expert or project leader in one or
more key areas, such as: training, communications, issues/investigations, health care professional interactions, grants and donations, indirect sales
channels, high risk third party vendors, risk management, auditing and
monitoring. The Instruments Division has five, separate
operating business units and experiences Moderate levels of risk with annual sales in excess of $1 billion. They primarily
have a large, direct selling force within the U.S.
and leverage the Stryker
international selling organization.
1. Responsible for developing strong relationships throughout the division and within each business
unit to foster a consistent and collaborative approach to proactive
compliance.
2. Responsible for ensuring the development and effective implementation of an annual divisional compliance plan which includes, but is not limited to: communication, training, auditing and monitoring and risk management.
3. Activelyparticipates as local compliance leader in the initial due diligence and subsequent integration planning required by business development activities within the division.
4. Maintainshigh level of knowledge of current and emerging laws and regulations, and periodically reviews and updates standards relating to compliance.
These include, but are not limited to Stryker Corporate Policies and procedures, industry trends and guidance on federal, state or local laws.
5. Plans, organizes and serves as the facilitator to the Divisional Compliance Committee providing direction and guidance in accordance with Corporate Policy #8: Compliance Program.
6. Responds to alleged violation of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and standards of conduct though the initiation of appropriate investigation procedures in partnership with Legal and Human Resources.
7. Responsible for the recruitment, selection, training and on-going performance management of one or more direct employees.
Exercises high degree of independent judgment to
make decisions of moderate to significant impact in the area of responsibility.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, required. Advanced degree, preferred.
Minimum of 13-15 years professional experience Compliance
related or other applicable professional certification, preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
